US military semiautomatic rifle manufactured circa 1944. Features parkerized finish, wood stock & hand guards, 24" barrel, adjustable sights with protected front blade & protected rear peep, fixed magazine for en-bloc clip, manual safety. Bore is fair to good condition, frosted, showing some erosion to edges of rifling. Metal parts retain 85% dark even finish (appears refinished),
with some bare metal showing on sharp edges, scrapes & scratches near muzzle. Wood is good serviceable condition, with dents & nicks, appears lightly sanded, retains "P" mark on grip.
No importer marks observed. All observed parts marked "SA". Barrel dated 12-44. Includes green cotton web sling.
