bolt-Action. Polish military issued Short rifle. Based on the German design. 24" barrel with protected front triangle and tangent rear sights. Stacking rod, hinged front barrel band. Turned down bolt handle has Polish eagle stamp. Flat, checkered underside of bolt knob. Left side rail stamped "K98" Mismatched serial numbers throughout. Sling bar. receiver ring has been scrubbed, but Properly Radom, the most common maker. Likely saw covert use in Spain during the Civil War, which is why markings were scrubbed. No import marks observed but left barrel is stamped "8mm". Bore is rough/dark. blue finish is about 50% with handling wear/scratches. Wood has scratches/dings.
